Important Principal Data Scientist position supporting Walmart Supply Chain Finance and End-To-End Store Operations Finance About The Walmart Supply Chain Finance Data Science Team Walmart’s Supply Chain Finance Data Science Team performs an important role providing Data Science and Analysis that supports financial forecasting, strategy, and decision support for our Walmart US Supply Chain and Store Operations Finance and Strategy Teams.

 

Our Data Science Team provides code development, data source identification, data testing, advanced statistical methods and best-practices for advanced modeling techniques for our Labor Workforce Allocation, Annual Operating Plan, and Long-Range Plan. We maintain Data Quality Standards and Data Governance, Accessibility, Storage and Scalability – all the while developing analytical methods and applications that unlock the monetary value of data assets. This Principal Data Scientist (Tech-6) will support the data analysis, advanced statistics and data best-practices for advanced modeling techniques for financial planning and strategic forecasting. Reporting to the Director of Supply Chain Data Science, you will help manage areas of Data Science that help redefine how our Finance Teams forecast and plan for our US Supply Chain and US Retail Operations. You will work side-by-side with leadership to partner across multiple Walmart Finance organizations that support different businesses.

 

You will be an advisor on designing, refining and delivering efficient financial data for Financial Planning through our forward-looking strategy and reporting teams.
