Job Overview: Campus Recruiting Specialist

We are in search of a motivated Campus Recruiting Specialist to become an integral part of our team. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with our Student Programs Manager, the Talent Acquisition team, and leaders from veterinary hospitals to address the changing staffing requirements of our network. Your primary objective will be to formulate and execute a campus recruiting strategy that attracts Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) students, fosters relationships, and explores externship as well as career opportunities within our partner practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively recruit and engage DVM students, guiding them through externships and career opportunities.
  • Develop and implement strategic campus initiatives aimed at drawing diverse student talent from multiple states.
  • Utilize social media and other platforms to cultivate a pipeline of potential candidates.
  • Schedule interviews and share in-depth candidate insights with hospital and regional teams.
  • Collaborate with veterinary schools to host lunch lectures, workshops, and virtual events.
  • Assess candidates for externships, internships, and residencies based on their preferences.
  • Strengthen partnerships with veterinary universities and faculty members to ensure a robust presence.
  • Coordinate and participate in campus career fairs, social events, and presentations.
  • Promote open externship roles on industry platforms and monitor progress using applicant systems.
  • Organize programs for veterinary students, including career fairs and networking events.
  • Travel to various campuses and events (up to 75% travel during peak seasons).
