Amazon is hiring for Warehouse Material Handler

If you're looking to join a dedicated team, Amazon's Sortation Center is seeking Warehouse Material Handler. As a Warehouse Material Handler, you'll be part of a critical group responsible for the first step in the warehouse-to-delivery process. The job involves working in a physically challenging, fast-paced setting, where you'll be scanning, sorting, and organizing packages onto pallets to prepare customer orders for dispatch. With the majority of shifts being part-time, you'll have more control over your availability.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • The received stock is examined and sorted out as per their respective categories for convenience and easy tracking
  • Confirm delivery addresses to ensure that packages are being delivered to the correct location
  • Employ technology solutions like scanners, computers, and mobile printers to simplify operations and improve workflow
  • Can handle packages weighing up to 49 pounds
  • To maintain a healthy and strong physique, it's important to engage in physical activities such as standing, walking, pushing, and pulling during work hours
  • Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other equipment to aid in the transportation of items
  • In areas where there are steps, they are a practical way to move between vertical levels and a good way to incorporate physical activity into daily routines
  • Engage in job tasks located on a mezzanine, where appropriate, at a height of up to 40 feet
