As the Pharmacy Technician – Home Delivery, you will be asked to shadow to demonstrate what right looks like as a fully proficient Technician. Positively contributes to overall team motivation and drives team engagement. As permitted by state regulation, interprets providers' prescriptions and creates order, assesses, inputs and retrieves prescription, medical/lab and reimbursement information from computer system.

 If you reside in Illinois or Iowa, you’ll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* as you take on some tough challenges. 

 Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm CST

 Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prescription requests
  • Entry, billing, and submittal of the customer's order to fulfillment for delivery assist with operations support, training, and process improvements
  • Contribute to updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and team content
  • Creation/routing of pharmacy orders through receipt
  • Demonstrate handling both inbound and outbound member/patient call
  • Prep and scan documents, verify member/patient data submit prescription orders in computer system
  • May contact members/patients/providers to validate data, request payment information and establish priority of order or delivery details
  • Apply knowledge/skills to a range of moderately complex activities
  • Demonstrate great depth of knowledge/skills in own function
  • Act as a technical resource to others in own function
  • Proactively identifies solutions to non-standard requests
  • Solve moderately complex problems on own
  • Work with team to solve complex problems
  • Plan, prioritize, organize, and complete work to meet established objective
  • Provide an exceptional customer experience with every interactio
  • Provide a holistic approach to case management by completing the following duties for each customer assigned
  • Extensive work experience within own function
  • Work is frequently completed without established procedures
  • Work independently
  • May coordinate other activities

Required Qualifications:

  • Active National Pharmacy Technician Certification (ExCPT or PTCB) or ability to obtain prior to start date
  • 1 years of experience working in a retail pharmacy
  • Reside in Illinois or Iowa
  • 18 years of age or older

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous Health Care Experience
  • Call-center or telephonic work
